I’ve been finish my birthday post but uploading pics seems to take forever. Patience out the window, I’ll just update what’s been going on lately in this post.
Just came back from Got Talent or Not? Finals seeing Didgeridoo Fire Dance (DFD) as the champion with JuanoPhobia @ The Library. DFD really stole the show with their blazing choreography. The last time I saw a fire dance was in Langkawi at a Reggae like bar. JuanaPhobia was good with the big band style but I suppose like many, perhaps they could find a stronger vocalist. Both are of deft own leagues and it was almost refreshing to see non-band/musical act won (though DFD was both fire dance with a band).

My desperate attempt to get a better shot
This a funny sight I saw when A Ruthless Cleansing, a metal band performed.
I assume they came to support JuanoPhobia and never expected to see such an act involving screaming and headbanging. At least the host did tell them to find something to stuff their eyes or leave.
the victor
A friend of mine, showed me a band I immediately fell in love with. FORGIVE DURDEN. If you like some thing that sounds animated, circus-sy and dynamic, Forgive Durden’s album Razia Shadow: A Musical is just the thing. With lively strings, idiosyncratic drum line and story weaved lyrics it’s something definitely worth listening to. Initial listening brought me to think of Panic at the Disco and guess what I found out? In their other songs, Brandon Urie is one of the many artists featured in the album. Each artist plays a character in the story. And I find that a really interesting.
